Aprilia India has launched the SXR160 scooter. Its ex-showroom price is 1.26 lakh rupees. Customers can book it at a token amount starting from Rs 5000. The Aprilia SXR160 is a premium maxi scooter. It is not available at all the showrooms of the company but it can be booked online.
Aprilia says that the SXR160 has LED headlights, LED tail lamps. Its unique paint scheme makes it different. The Aprilia SXR160 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. Since then, many people were waiting for its launch. The platform used in the scooter is a modified version of the platform SR160 and SR150.
160cc engine
In the case of the maxi scooter, there is only Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in India except Aprilia SXR160. The Aprilia SXR160 features a fully digital instrument console that showcases top speed, fuel economy and other details. The scooter has a 160cc, fuel injected engine. It generates 11hp power and torque of 11Nm. The mileage of the scooter is claimed to be 40kmpl.

20 liter luggage storage
The fuel tank of Aprilia SXR160 is of 7 liters. Its underseat storage can carry a luggage of 20 liters. The scooter also has a boot light. ABS has been used in scooters. The Aprilia SXR160 has no direct rival in the Indian market but in terms of price, electric scooters like the Ather 450X and some 200cc bikes are in the competition.
