A straightforward and boxy design language helps the Hyundai Casper to look very unique on the road. For starters, the SUV gets split-LED headlamps topped by DRLs. Apart from this, the rugged dual-cut alloy wheels make the car’s boxy silhouette stand out while the circular headlamps are definitely a distinctive feature of the car. Overall, the Casper looks different and might appeal to those who are looking for a new and modern looking SUV.
Like the exteriors, the interiors of the Casper are also modern and unique. The car gets a bias dashboard layout which looks premium. In terms of features, the Casper is offered with front folding seats, a wireless charger, a large touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, etc. Apart from this, the car also gets a two-spoke steering wheel and a fully digital instrument panel.

While it will be interesting to see how Hyundai positions the new Casper in the Indian market, the Korean model measures 3595 mm in length, 1595 mm in width and 1575 mm in height. The car gets a wheelbase of 2400mm. However, the dimensions of the Indian-spec Casper are expected to remain similar to the global model.
In the Korean market, the Casper is offered with two engine options which include a 1.0-L NA petrol engine and a 1.0-L turbocharged petrol engine. These engines churn out peak power outputs of 76 Bhp and 100 Bhp respectively, while this engine is mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. In India, the car is expected to share its powertrain options with the Hyundai Venue and could offer buyers 1.2-L NA petrol and 1.0-L turbo petrol engines.
While Hyundai is yet to say anything about the launch of the Casper in the Indian market, it is expected that Hyundai will launch the Casper in India in 2023. Once launched, the Casper will be positioned below the Hyundai Venue in the brand’s Indian portfolio. However, with rivals like Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis already in the market, the upcoming Hyundai Casper will face stiff competition on the Indian soil.
