Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) launched an updated version (2021 Maritu Swift) of its premium hatchback Swift on 24 February. Its Delhi showroom price has been kept between Rs 5.73 lakh-8.41 lakh. Maruti says that the new Swift is more powerful and consumes less fuel. Also, new safety features have been included in it. The company claims that the fuel efficiency of the manual transmission of the new Swift is 23.2 kmpl, while that of the automatic versions is 23.76 kmpl.
Maruti Suzuki India issued a statement saying that the new Swift 2021 has been prepared according to the requirement of the customers. Swift was launched by Maruti Suzuki India in the year 2005. The company says that Swift has revolutionized the premium hatchback segment in the country in a way.
Swift 2021 raises safety standards
MSI Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) Shashank Srivastava says that Swift has carved a niche in the premium hatchback segment through its sporty performance, upright stance and unmistakable road presence. Swift has around 2.4 million customers. Srivastava informed that the Swift 2021 has a new powerful K-series engine, sportier dual tone exteriors. Apart from this, according to Srivastava, safety standards have been increased in it and the new Swift also reduces oil consumption. It has manual and automatic gear shift (AGS) transmissions.

Manual trims cost less than AGS variants
According to the information given by the company, the price of manual trims has been kept at Rs 5.73 lakh and up to Rs 7.91 lakh. In comparison, the price of AGS variants has been kept from 6.86 lakh to 8.41 lakh rupees. According to information provided by Maruti Suzuki India, the fuel efficiency of the 1.2-liter petrol model with manual transmission is lower than the automatic versions. According to the company’s claim, the manual transmission’s fuel efficiency is 23.2 kmpl, while the automatic version’s 23.76 kmpl.
