The starting price of the electric version of Tata Tigor has been fixed at Rs 11.99 lakh. The Tata Tigor EV comes with the company’s Ziptron EV technology. It is claimed that once this car is fully charged, it can cover a distance of up to 306 km. It takes about 8 hours 45 minutes to charge this car from 0 to 80 percent with a regular charger. On the other hand, if it is charged with a DC fast charger, then it gets charged from 0 to 80 percent in 65 minutes. The Tigor EV makes a rated power output of 74 hp and peak torque of 170 Nm.
Tata Nexon EV
Our next electric car on this list is the Tata Nexon EV. Its starting price is Rs 13.99 lakh. The Nexon EV also gets a high-voltage powertrain through the company’s Ziptron technology. It gets a DC motor under the bonnet that can generate 129 PS and 245 Nm of torque. The Nexon EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in less than 10 seconds. Along with this, it is claimed that on a single charge, this car can travel 312 km.
Mahindra E Verito
The starting price of Mahindra E Verito is Rs 10.15 lakh. This is the only electric car that Mahindra has currently available on sale. It is claimed that this car can run up to 181 km (MIDC claim) on a single charge. Its motor generates 41 HP and 91 Nm of peak torque. It comes with 288 Ah battery pack. It takes 11 hours 35 minutes to get fully charged with a regular charger.
Hyundai Kona Electric
The Hyundai Kona Electric was the first to enter the Indian market. It is available for sale in the country for the first time since July 2019. The starting price of Kona electric car has been fixed at Rs 23.79 lakh. It has a DC motor that can generate 134 hp and 395 Nm of torque. It takes 6 hours 10 minutes to charge with a regular charger, while a fast charger can charge it in just 57 minutes (0-80%). Once fully charged, the car can cover a distance of 452 km (ARAI-certified).
MG ZS EV
The MG ZS EV is another great electric vehicle with a starting price of Rs 21 lakh. Its driving range is 420 km. The battery capacity of MG ZS EV is estimated at 44.5 kWh. It is powered by a DC motor that generates a maximum of 140 hp and 353 Nm of torque.
WORLD E6
The newest car on this list is the BYD E6 MPV. The price of this Chinese electric MPV starts from Rs.29.15 Lakh. It is available only as a fleet-only vehicle. Private buyers cannot buy it. It has a driving range of 415 km, while its top speed is 130 kmph. Interestingly, this MPV supports both AC and DC fast charging.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
The Mercedes-Benz EQC was the first luxury electric SUV in the country, priced at Rs. 99.30 lakhs starts from Rs. It is powered by two motors, producing 408 PS of power and a combined output of 760 Nm. It takes only 5.5 seconds to run from 0-100 kmph. This car can run up to 450 km on a single charge of the battery.
Jaguar I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace is priced at Rs 1.06 crore. It is claimed that its driving range is 470 km. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. This car can run at a maximum speed of 200 kmph. The Jaguar I-Pace uses a magnet electric motor that generates a powerful power of 294 kW and torque of 696 Nm.
Audi e-tron & e-tron Sportback
The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback electric SUVs have been priced at Rs 99.99 lakh and Rs 1.18 crore, respectively. Talking about the range, there are two battery options – 71 kW (379 km) and 95 kW (484 km). In addition to this, there are two trim options available – 50 quattro and 55 quattro.
Audi etron GT & RS etron GT
Electric Audi cars in this list include the etron GT and the RS etron GT. The price of the etron GT starts at Rs 1.80 crore, while the RS etron GT costs up to Rs 2.05 crore. They come with a 93 kWh battery pack and dual-motor setup. The etron GT takes 4.1 seconds to reach 100 kmph, while the RS etron GT takes 3.3 seconds. The WLTP range of the etron GT is 500 km, while that of the RS etron GT is 481 km.
