Prime Minister Modi said, as the world’s two largest and oldest democracies, we are natural partners and the progress made in our relations in the last few years has created a new momentum which was perhaps difficult to imagine even a decade ago. . When I came to Washington in September last year, you said that the India-US partnership can contribute to the solution of many global problems and I completely agree with you on this.
PM Modi said, I had several phone conversations with the Presidents of both Ukraine and Russia. Not only did I appeal for peace, but I also suggested President Putin to have direct talks with the President of Ukraine.
