Lucknow : The state government has equipped the youth of UP with smartphones and tablets. By giving digital gadgets, the whole world has been covered in their grasp. Various subject wise educational courses are also being made available to them on their tablets and smartphones.
This is the first time that the government is also going to give digital access to the youth for free. To empower the youth technically, the government has set a target of distributing free tablets and smart phones to more than 2 crore youths of UP in the next 5 years and at present more than 2.45 lakh smartphones and tablets have been distributed to the youth.

Keeping the promise of Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, the government has started the work of empowering the youth digitally. 97,740 tablets and over 1,48,238 smartphones have been distributed. Of these, the maximum 16,936 tablets have been distributed in Lucknow. So far 11,541 tablets have been made available in Gorakhpur, 8,518 tablets in Moradabad, 7,617 tablets in Saharanpur, 9131 in Agra, 1199 in Aligarh, 4133 in Farukhabad, 8518 in Moradabad and 5,323 in Pratapgarh. Similarly, more than 25,770 smartphones have been distributed in Lucknow, 24,620 smartphones in Ambedkar Nagar, 12,990 in Moradabad, 10,776 in Saharanpur and more than 10,346 in Muzaffarnagar.
The first phase of distribution in the state started on 25 December 2021
Under the supervision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the distribution process is being conducted with complete transparency without any discrimination. To ensure a seamless delivery process, 7,20,000 tablets and over 10,50,000 smartphones have been allotted for distribution to the districts. According to the announcement made by the government, two crore youth will be given free smartphones and tablets to make them technologically advanced. Under which the first phase of distribution in the state started on 25 December 2021.
Government has given employment to 5 lakh youth in 5 years
