Russia-Ukraine War: Today (Wednesday) is the 14th day of the war between Russia and Ukraine. There has been a huge increase in the defense budget of China between Russia and Ukraine, which is going to increase the concerns of neighboring countries like India. China has been increasing the defense budget continuously for the last few years. Once again on Saturday, China made a huge increase of 7.1 percent in its defense budget.
China on Saturday proposed a 7.1 percent increase in its defense budget to $230 billion, an increase of $21 billion from last year’s $209 billion. On the jump in China’s defense budget, Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, one of the country’s leading businessmen, has also given his reaction.
On the increase in China’s defense budget, Anand Mahindra has clearly written on Twitter that size does not matter. The industrialist said that the future of war will not depend on how much a country spends on defense but on how cleverly it spends.
Anand Mahindra, while sharing a news related to the increase in the Chinese defense budget, has written that ‘Size does not matter’. The future of war will be different. Armed drones are wreaking havoc on a convoy of tanks in Ukraine. It doesn’t matter how much we spend, it matters how cleverly we spend…

China’s state-run newspaper China Daily quoted Prime Minister Li Keqiang’s draft budget presented at the National People’s Congress (NPC) on Saturday as saying that the Chinese government has proposed a defense budget of 1.45 trillion (trillion) yuan for the fiscal year 2022. Which is 7.1 percent more than last year.
With this increase, China’s defense budget has tripled as compared to India’s defense budget (about $70 billion). Last year, China’s defense budget crossed $ 200 billion. China increased its defense budget by 6.8 percent in FY21, taking its total defense budget to $209 billion.
The Chinese Prime Minister, in a work report presented in Parliament, stressed the need for a comprehensive strengthening of the war preparedness of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). China’s proposal to increase the defense budget comes amid a standoff with India in eastern Ladakh and rising political and military tensions with the US. China is the second largest country in the world in terms of spending on the defense budget after the US.
