Common citizens took up arms: Ukrainians have been preparing to defend their capital in recent days. The authorities have prepared reservists and Ukrainian TV broadcast instructions for making the Molotov cocktail. Even members of parliament told CNN that they had taken up guns and learned to shoot in preparation for battle.
