Gadchiroli, For the last three months, RAPani employees have been on strike for the main demand of segregation of RAPani in the government. Due to the strike, the bus services of Rapani were completely affected in the entire state. Due to which the passengers had to resort to private vehicles.
In such a situation, about 9 buses are being run from Gadchiroli, Bramhapuri and Aheri depots under the Gadchiroli Departmental Control Office due to some employees who went on strike a few days back. But due to very less circulation of buses, running these buses for Rapani is proving to be a loss-making deal. At present, it is being said that buses will be run only to meet the cost of diesel.
50 thousand per day income of 3 depots
At present, 9 buses are being run from Gadchiroli, Bramhapuri and Aheri depots under Gadchiroli Departmental Control Office. In which Bramhapuri Depot 2, Aheri Depot 2 and Gadchiroli Depot 6 buses are included. Before the Corona period, there was an income of 10 lakh rupees per day per depot. At the same time, even during the Corona period, revenue of 6 to 7 lakh rupees was being received per day. But due to the strike of the employees, now the depots are getting an income of only 50 thousand rupees every day. Due to which Rapani has to run the buses at a loss.
workers are on strike
Rapani employees have started strike from October 28 across the state to demand the segregation of RAPani employees in the government. Now more than 3 months have passed since this strike of the employees. During this period, action for termination and suspension of service was also taken against the employees who went on strike. But the employees remained on strike for their main demand. At the same time, some employees have joined the service in the present situation. But hundreds of workers are still stuck in the strike.
Passenger class stricken
Recently, about 9 buses are being run on the roads by three depots under Gadchiroli Departmental Control Office. But due to less number of buses, passengers still have to resort to private vehicles. On the other hand, due to overcharging of passengers by private vehicle holders and charging more money, the passengers have become completely troubled. Commuters still have to resort to private vehicles due to buses not arriving on time.
