Pune: The effect of Corona reached its peak in January. Because of this the state government had tightened the restrictions. PMP had made universal pass mandatory. As a result, the number of passengers was reduced by about 30 percent. For now, the outbreak of corona has subsided. With the opening of schools, colleges, the number of passengers of PMP has increased. At present, about 8 and a half lakh people are traveling by bus every day.
The number of passengers was reduced in January
When everything returned to normal, the number of PMP passengers had increased significantly, but suddenly in the beginning of January, the havoc of Corona and Omicron started increasing. Because of this, there was again an atmosphere of fear in the minds of the people. Because of this, the government had to take the decision to close schools and colleges. Along with this, some private offices were also allowed to work from home again. Due to this, the number of PMP bus passengers which had increased, has reduced.

Meanwhile, the state government issued an order that it is mandatory to have both the vaccines for traveling in the PMP bus. Due to this the number of passengers was further reduced. Now after the relaxation of restrictions, the number of passengers is gradually increasing. The bus conductor says that now most of the people have taken both the vaccines of Corona. In January, when the corona infection increased, the number of PMP bus passengers was reduced significantly. Due to this, 200 buses had to be reduced from the road. Due to this, the PMP was facing a loss of Rs 30 lakh every day.
Despite the corona infection has reduced, universal pass is mandatory. Support the driver and conductor by keeping the passenger mask first and nearer to himself.

Initially, there was an increase in the number of passengers and conductors due to Universal Pass, but now the passengers have become comfortable. Universal pass is shown by taking ticket along with own bus pass. Due to the increase in the number of passengers, there is panic about tickets, money, universal pass, yet the conductors always work in the crowd. The number of passengers in Corona had reduced, but now the number has started increasing.
