The number of patients infected with Omicron variants in the district has now increased to 32. Now the death session of the third wave of Corona has also started in the district. On Thursday (January 27), 3 patients infected with corona died. Due to which the death toll in the third wave has increased to 10. Till Thursday evening, 460 new infected patients were found. At the same time, on Wednesday 26 January also 505 new patients have been found. And two patients have died.
50 patients in the division
So far 50 patients of Omicron have been found in the division. Of these, maximum 32 patients are from Amravati. At the same time, 11 patients in Akola, 6 in Buldhana and one patient in Yavatmal are suffering from Omicron. Due to which the concern of the administration has increased. Sub-variants of Omicron are also being found in infected patients in the district. Along with two doses of the vaccine, those taking booster doses are also getting infected with corona. That’s why scientists are paying special attention to this type of corona infection.
10 deaths so far
Omicron’s third wave has killed 10 people in a week. All three who died on Thursday (January 27). These include a 74-year-old woman from Varuda Badnera, a 76-year-old man from Vanshree Colony Dastur Nagar and a 42-year-old man from Pimplekhuta. Those who were admitted to the District COVID Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday (January 26), a 65-year-old man from Lakhanwadi and a 92-year-old woman from Revsa died of Korana.
3,694 active patients
According to various reports of the laboratory, on 27 January 460 new corona infected patients were found in the district and on 26 January 505 corona infected patients were found. Now the number of active patients in the district has reached 3 thousand 694. Of these, there are 1 thousand 429 patients in rural areas and 2 thousand 265 in urban areas. Now the total number of corona infected patients in the district has increased to 1 lakh 2 thousand 814. So far, a total of 1 thousand 578 people have died. At present, 96 patients are being treated in COVID Hospital.
