Durg: Due to unemployment and financial constraints in Durg district of Chhattisgarh, husband and wife have allegedly committed suicide by hanging. Police officials of Durg district said here on Tuesday that Sushil Yadav (35) and his wife Anita Yadav (33) of Janjgir village under Old Bhilai police station area in the district allegedly committed suicide by hanging.
City Superintendent of Police of Old Bhilai area Vishwas Chandrakar said that the police have received information that Sushil Yadav lived with his wife in a rented house in the village in Janjgir village and the door of the house did not open till 12 noon on Monday when his landlord. Called Yadav to come out. Chandrakar told that when there was no sound from the room, when the landlord pushed the door and entered inside, he saw Sushil and his wife Anita hanging from the gallows.

When the landlord informed the police about the incident, a police team reached the spot and the bodies were sent for post-mortem, the police official said. He said that the police have recovered two letters from near the dead body. It is believed that the husband and wife have written this letter. It is written in the letter that Sushil was unemployed for the last one year due to which his brother and sister-in-law used to torture him mentally.
According to the letter, due to harassment by brother-in-law, he had left his father’s house and lived in a rented house. It is written in the letter that he is committing suicide of his own free will. Chandrakar said that the police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated. (agency)
