New Delhi: Many big proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the meeting held today, the Government of India Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) Ltd. It has approved an investment of Rs 1,500 crore in the capital. After which the lending capacity of IREDA will increase to Rs 12,000 crore. This information was given by Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
After the cabinet meeting, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters that this decision has been taken in view of the loan rules of the Reserve Bank of India. He said that with the infusion of Rs 1,500 crore in IREDA, its lending capacity to the renewable energy sector will increase to Rs 12,000 crore. This decision of the cabinet will help IREDA to create 3,500 to 4,000 MW of renewable energy capacity.

National Commission for Safai Karamcharis extended by 3 years
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that, in the cabinet meeting today, it has been decided to extend the tenure of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis for the next three years from April 1, 2022. Now its tenure will be till 31 March 2025.
