It is to be known that the 55-hour weekend curfew in the capital Delhi has started from 10 pm on Friday, which will continue till 5 am on Monday. During this, the movement of people other than those involved in essential services and those coming under the exempted category will be banned for 55 hours. Public parks and grounds in Delhi have been asked to remain closed during the weekend curfew. Whereas only 20 people have been allowed to attend the wedding ceremony and funeral.

It is noteworthy that due to the weekend lockdown in Delhi, the administration is keeping a close watch on the markets, roads, colonies and other public places. During this time only people involved in essential services and those facing emergency are allowed to step out of their homes. Those who step out will also have to show an e-pass or a valid identity card issued by the government.
At the same time, the exemptions given during the weekend curfew in Delhi include private medical workers such as doctors, nursing staff, hospitals, diagnostic centers, testing laboratories, clinics, pharmacies, people associated with pharmaceutical companies. Whereas only shops selling essential items like grocery, medical equipment, medicines have been allowed to open during the curfew. Restaurants will remain closed but parcel facility will remain operational.
