If the BMC imposed a lockdown in Mumbai, then the city will once again come to a standstill and people will have to face many problems.
It is to be known that on Wednesday, Mayor Kishori Pednekar had said that if more than 20 thousand cases are reported in Mumbai, then lockdown will have to be imposed.

Also, a ban has already been imposed on weddings, celebrations and public places. Apart from this, gyms, cinema halls have been ordered to operate with 50 percent of the fixed capacity.

20,186 cases found in Mumbai
Omicron and Delta are wreaking havoc in Mumbai and the cases of corona are increasing continuously. In the last 24 hours, 20,186 new cases have been reported in the city. Out of which 17,154 patients are asymptomatic. While the death of 4 infected people has been registered in Mumbai. According to the data released by BMC, out of the patients found today, 1,170 have been admitted to the hospital. While 106 patients needed oxygen. At present, 5,998 patients are being treated in hospitals and 1,983 patients are on oxygen. Mumbai has 35,594 beds, out of which 29,596 beds are vacant.
In Mumbai, 67,487 people have been tested for corona in the last 24 hours. So far 139,92,095 samples have been tested here.
