Every district got a special identity
Referring to the craftsmanship of UP, he said that clusters related to micro, small and medium enterprises are already present in the state. Our forefathers had given a unique identity to each region with their foresight. Varanasi has sarees, Bhadohi has carpets, Firozabad has glass industries and Moradabad’s brass traders are world famous. Be it the perfumes of Kannauj, or the sport items of Meerut, there was an industrial cluster everywhere. Every place had its own distinct identity. But due to neglect in the intervening period, this identity got fragmented. In the year 2017 when our government came, this cluster was revived through ODOP after identifying these specialties. Now once again the traditional craft of the state, skill is getting prestige in the world. The Chief Minister said that today, through the One District One Product scheme, we have linked one product each with those districts to make all 75 districts a brand. This has created a lot of employment opportunities.
