Adelaide: Marnus Labuschagne, the swashbuckling batsman of the Australia cricket team, played a brilliant innings of 103 runs in the second match of the Ashes Series 2021 (Ashes Series AUS vs ENG, 2021). This test match became the first batsman in the world to score 3 centuries in the Pink Ball Test Match (Pink Ball Cricket Test Match, AUS vs ENG Adelaide) i.e. Day-Night match. Thanks to his excellent innings, Australia declared the innings at 473 for the loss of 9 wickets after 150.4 overs in the first innings of the second Ashes Test against England.
After losing his first wicket for 4 runs in this innings, Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne took 103 and David Warner played an innings of 95 runs and took the partnership of 172 runs for the second wicket. It is worth noting that by the end of the first day’s play, the England bowlers had dropped only two wickets for Australia and the Australian batsmen had scored 221 runs. In Australia’s first innings batting, Jos Buttler was caught twice by Marnus Labuschagne and Marnus Labuschagne got life.
