After which, now the elections in these municipalities have started taking an interesting turn. Election symbols were withheld there due to the filing of appeal on the issue of nomination being invalid in Kalamba, but today on December 14, the nomination of Prahar’s candidate became valid.
In the meantime, election symbols were given to all the candidates. After which there will be a fierce competition between the political parties, candidates of various panels for 84 seats, meanwhile the election campaign has gained full force in these places, the districts of political parties and The candidates, including the leaders of the tehsil level, are seen in contact with the voters by preparing the equation of defeat and victory.
Before this, elections were to be held for 102 seats in 6 municipalities of the district, but on the day of filing nomination papers, the Supreme Court gave a decision on the issue of 27 percent political reservation for OBC category, due to which Jhari Jamani Nagarpanchayat in the district. Due to non-availability of OBC category seats, the elections to 18 seats of OBC category in 5 municipalities were postponed at the election decision officer level on the instructions of the Election Commission, due to which the elections for these seats have been stopped for the time being.
Let us inform that after the withdrawal of nomination papers, now there is a contest between 62 candidates in Babhulgaon Nagar Panchayat, 82 in Ralegaon, 64 in Kalamba, 90 in Maregaon and 87 in Jhari Nagar Panchayat and 54 in Mahagaon. While there is an appeal on nomination in Kalamba. After admission, the number of candidates who will contest the elections on December 16 will be decided. On December 21, 13 seats in Mahagaon, 13 in Kalamb, 14 in Maregaon, 13 in Babhulgaon, 14 in Ralegaon and 17 in Jhari Nagar Panchayat will vote for 84 such seats. After which the results will be declared.

Polling for the by-elections for the vacant seats of division 12 and 13 of Dhanki Nagar Panchayat will also be held on December 21.
