New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 7,992 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country, after which the total number of people infected with Coronavirus has increased to 3,46,682,736 and the number of patients under treatment has fallen to 93,277. Which is the lowest in 559 days. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Saturday, the death toll rose to 4,75,128 after the death of 393 more patients. The number of daily cases of infection in the country is below 15,000 for 44 consecutive days.
The Health Ministry said that the number of patients under treatment fell to 93,277, which is 0.27 percent of the total cases. This number is the lowest in the last 559 days. At the same time, the recovery rate of patients at the national level is 98.36 percent and it is the highest since March 2020. The number of patients undergoing treatment has decreased by 1,666 in the last 24 hours. According to the data, the daily infection rate was recorded at 0.64 percent, which is less than two percent for the last 68 days. The weekly infection rate was recorded at 0.71 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 27 days. So far, a total of 3,41,14,331 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from COVID-19 is 1.37 percent.
