There are currently 6482 under-treatment patients in the state. The recovery rate from infection is 97.12 percent and the death rate is 2.12 percent. So far 6,65,17,323 samples have been tested in the state. At present 74,353 people are in home isolation and 887 people are in institutional quarantine. Regarding the new form of the virus, it was said in the bulletin that there has been no case of infection of Omicron form in the state. There are 10 cases of infection with this form of the virus.
The first case of Omicron in the state came in the last week of November when a marine engineer from Kalyan Dombivli in Thane district had returned from South Africa. The person was discharged from a hospital on Wednesday. According to the bulletin, 291 cases of corona virus were reported in Mumbai section and one patient died. There were 235 cases in Pune, 95 in Nashik division.
