Most of the vehicles imported from India to South Africa belonged to this category. Volkswagen’s small car in this category is the Polo, which was also being made in South Africa in 2020. According to the report, 87,953 vehicles were imported from India to South Africa during 2020, which was 43.2 percent of the total passenger cars and light commercial vehicles imported in the country. But during this period in the country, among the 10 best-selling brands in this category, 9 were locally manufactured brands of vehicles. People here like to drive pickup more. Mahindra (South Africa) Chief Executive Rajesh Gupta said that this is good news.
