Referring to the fast growing start-ups in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that these start-ups are moving ahead with the dream of becoming a world leader and the government is standing with full force to help them. Addressing the countrymen from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of the country, he said that new startups are being formed rapidly in the country. “Whether it is a matter of tax exemption for these start-ups, simplification of rules or help to move forward, the government is standing with full force to help them.”
He said that these startups are progressing with great success. These start-ups of yesterday are becoming the unicorns of today. “These start-ups are running with a dream to dominate the world. They have to be the best, work fast, don’t stop.
Startups joining the Unicorn Club
Unicorn startups are called those whose valuation is more than one billion dollars. PM Modi called upon the industries of the country to move forward with the goal of “global-class manufacturing”. Emphasizing on making Indian products of world class quality, he said, “The product we ship out is not just a product of any one company but that product is the identity of India. India’s prestige would have been attached to that product. So the products made in India – must be better.
Farmers also have frick
Along with startups, PM Modi also mentioned in his speech for the farmers of the country. PM Modi said that help is to be provided to the small farmers and the people of the village in the country. The objective of PM Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is to compensate farmers for the damage caused by floods, storms, hail and heavy rains. In the Kharif season (July-September) of 2021, paddy, maize, millet, cotton and in Rabi season wheat, barley, gram, mustard and sunflower crops can be insured. PM Modi has said that the time has come to make the crop insurance scheme useful for small farmers.
