Simple Enerygy electric scooter to be launched soon
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up Simple Energy will launch its first electric scooter, the Simple One, on August 15, 2021. The pre-orders for the Simple One electric scooter will also start from the day of launch. The company said in an official statement that, Simple One was to be launched in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, followed by its launch in other cities. But now, Simple Energy says that it will launch the Simple One electric scooter in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab.
Customers across India can pre-order Simple One from August 15, 2021. Let us tell you that in every state where Simple One will be available, there will be at least one Experience Center, while the rest will be on the franchise model. The company has already finalized the company authorized Experience Centers in every state’s cities, which will be asked to start the deliveries at the earliest.
Pan India pre-booking will start from the day of launch
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, Simple Energy, said, “We are getting a lot of requests from various cities across India to book vehicles. The company felt the need to fulfill these requests and kickstart Phase 1. We are also starting pre-booking from pan India from the day of launch.
The Simple One will be a high-speed, premium electric scooter and will compete directly with the Ather 450X, as well as the Ola electric scooter. The Simple One electric scooter will be powered by a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that will offer a claimed range of 240km. The maximum speed will be around 100 kmph, with a speed of 0 to 50 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. More details about the features and technology will be announced at the time of launch.
The company is also working on its manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which will have a capacity to produce one million units annually. The company intends to start production from the end of this year at the new facility, which will be spread over an area of 2,00,000 square feet. Simple Energy intends to invest Rs 350 crore in the next two years to expand its presence across India.
