The event is a first for the game’s makers Krafton, when this new game has been re-launched instead of PUBG Mobile. The company announced that the event would be like a showcase. Not all players will be able to participate in this tournament. The event will be held for two days – 8 July (Thursday) and 9 July (Friday). The event will feature around 18 professional esports teams that will compete in the BGMI Battle Royale game. The official name of the event will be BGMI Launch Party. It went live today and will go on till Friday.

The event will also act as a trailer for how BGMI will organize events in the future. PUBG Mobile, which was banned by the Indian government, used to organize many events, including third party tournaments hosted by many sponsors. BGMI is getting very good response in the country since its launch a few days back. Therefore Krafton will continue to host events and rival games under the PUBG banner with BGMI.
