At a time when patients are dying due to lack of oxygen cylinders in hospitals, a video of a doctor is becoming viral on social media platforms. In this, he is explaining a trick of using nebuliser and claiming that it can be helpful for people struggling with low levels of oxygen. In the video, a man who describes himself as Dr. Alok explains how the nebuliser can be used to assemble and improve blood oxygen levels.
What’s in the video?
Sarvodaya Hospital logo is on the doctor’s clothes. He is saying that it hurts a lot to see that people are ready to do anything for oxygen cylinders. They are willing to pay any amount for this. Please do not do such things. He said that he is telling a trick and feel its benefits.
After explaining about assembling the nebuliser, the doctor says that do not use any medicine in it. All you have to do is switch on your machine and put it on your nose. There is enough oxygen in our atmosphere. Do not risk your life by running for an oxygen cylinder.
Covid-19 Vaccination: Registration for CoWIN is necessary for people between 18 and 45 years of age, no walk-in facility initially
What did the doctors say?
However, doctors have said on this viral video that the claims made in it are completely baseless. Dr Arvinder Singh, a liver transplant specialist and founder of Aina Clinic, said that the video showing the alleged way of improving blood oxygen levels by using nebulizer machine instead of oxygen cylinder is completely unfounded. It should be denied. In support of this, Dr. Swadeep Srivastava, Chief Health Officer of the Public Health Expert and India Virtual Hospital, said that there is no logic that the nebuliser can be used if the oxygen level of the patient decreases.
