The Union Health Ministry said on Thursday that the second dose of corona virus vaccine will be given to health workers from 13 February. NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul (NITI Aayog member VK Paul) while addressing the media on Thursday said that so far only the first dose of corona virus vaccine has been given to health workers. Also, the Ministry of Health stated that within just 19 days in India, about 45 lakh people have been given the Corona vaccine. India has become the fastest country to vaccinate 45 lakh people within 18 days.
The ministry said, many other countries had taken 65 days to do so. India started a nationwide corona vaccination campaign on 16 January. The number of people getting vaccinations is increasing everyday. It said that 3,10,604 people were vaccinated in 8,041 sessions in the last 24 hours and a total of 84,617 vaccination sessions have been conducted so far. The Ministry said that 44,49,552 people have been administered Corona vaccine within 19 days in the country. The number of patients undergoing epidemics in India has now fallen to 1,55,025 which is just 1.44 percent of the total cases of infection.

The Ministry of Health said that the daily infection rate in India so far is 1.82 percent. The ministry said that the daily infection rate in India has remained below two percent for the past few weeks (19 days). The total number of epidemics in the country has gone up to 1,04,80,455. The ministry said that the rate of recovery from the epidemic in the country has increased to 97.13 percent. The number of cured people so far is 67.6 times the number of patients undergoing treatment. It said that 86.04 percent of the new cases of recovery from epidemics are from six states and union territories.
In Maharashtra, the highest number of 7,030 people have defeated the epidemic in the last 24 hours, while 6,380 in Kerala and 533 patients in Tamil Nadu have recovered during this period. The ministry said that 84.67 percent of the new cases of infection are from six states and union territories. Kerala has the highest number of new cases of infections, with 6,356 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
During this period, 2,992 new infections have been reported in Maharashtra and 514 in Tamil Nadu. Six states and union territories account for 71.03 percent of the new deaths due to coronavirus infection. In Maharashtra, maximum 30 people have died in the last 24 hours, while 20 have died in Kerala and seven each in West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
