Farmers’ Protest: Efforts are on to find a way through dialogue between farmers’ protests against agricultural laws. The 11th round of talks between the farmers’ leaders, representatives and the government are being held at Vigyan Bhawan on Friday. Till now the conversation has been fruitless. In the last meeting, the government made an important proposal to postpone agricultural laws for 1.5 years, which was rejected outright by the farmer’s organizations. Meanwhile, on 26 January, farmers’ organizations are adamant on taking out a tractor rally in the capital. In view of the Republic Day celebrations, both the Central Government and the Delhi Police are shocked by this proposed rally of farmers. The Supreme Court has also refused to ban the rally, considering the law and order issue.
