If you had three needs, what would they be? If Kira Rudik might have a want for the world, she would need “bravery”.
The Ukrainian MP and chief of Holos political celebration, talking to Niall Paterson on the Sky News Daily podcast, mentioned her hope is that others can “stand up against tyranny”.
As a part of a particular mini-series on the Daily podcast, Paterson is asking individuals from throughout politics, leisure and sport how they might use three needs to alter the world, their nation, and their lives.

Before turning into an MP in 2019, Rudik was COO of the Ring home-security firm in Ukraine. She continues to be in capital Kyiv.
One of her causes for turning into an MP was to construct a greater future for her nation after the break-up of the Soviet Union and Ukrainian independence in 1991.
“One of the dreams that I had – that I still have – is that the next generation of children [will] not know the things that I experienced,” she advised the Sky News Daily.
“What I feel right now is that we are robbed of this dream, because the children that are growing right now already know all those traumas. They know how to hide when the air raid sirens are on. They have seen dead bodies. They have seen things that are much worse. This is terrifying.
“This is one thing that I, on a private degree, can’t forgive, as a result of we had this dream [and] we’re all afraid now. And we’ll need to we’ll have to determine methods to repair it.”
As the warfare in Ukraine enters its eleventh month, common energy outages, and bombardments from Russia, are frequent.
“We will be celebrating this Christmas and New Year in one of the toughest winters since the Second World War. We all know that,” Rudik mentioned.
Her want for her nation is for her fellow Ukrainians to have a greater and hotter “Christmas and New Year, because I know it will be so important for us to [get] through this winter”,
She added: “I cannot begin to tell you how united people are right now, even with all the hurdles that are happening. It just has no other ending than us winning this war. And I truly believe that [we can].”
