Prince Mohammad Hamad Mohammed Al Khalifa of Bahrain arrived in Nepal on Monday. On his Nepal tour, he arrived with AstraZeneca’s Coronavirus Vaccine. Due to this, the dispute has now started in Nepal. Actually, before reaching any medicine in Nepal, the government has to give information about it. But Nepal said that no such information was given from Bahrain. At the same time, the Embassy of Bahrain based in London said that only after getting permission, the Prince arrived in Kathmandu with the vaccine. Now investigation has started in this case.
Regarding the vaccine brought by Prince Hamad, the Drug Management Department of Nepal said that the government did not approve the Prince of Bahrain to bring the vaccine into the country. On this statement of the Drug Department, Bahrain’s Embassy in London said that Prince Hamad was allowed to bring the vaccine on behalf of the Government of Nepal. After the misunderstanding, the investigation of this case has started. On the other hand, the Embassy of Bahrain in Kathmandu said that the Prince’s team wanted to donate this vaccine to Gorkha village.
Prince’s team reached Nepal to climb Mount Everest
Talking to Nepali newspaper Himalayan Times Thaneshwar Gurgan, spokesperson for Seven Summits trek, which manages Prince Hamad’s visit, said that the team will remain in Quarantine for seven days. After this, the team has to visit Chumanurbi rural municipality of Gorkha district. Gurman said that the 2000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be divided into Samagaon. The Prince’s team will then begin climbing Mount Everest.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for the Drug Regulators of Nepal said that discussions are being held for the vaccine to reach Nepal. Officials are not aware of how this vaccine has reached here. An investigation has been started to reach Prince’s team carrying the vaccine. Actually, according to the rules of the Government of Nepal, official permission has to be obtained from the government before any medicine can be brought into the country. Also, a guarantee has to be provided that carelessness will not be taken in the storage of medicine. The Embassy of Bahrain said that permission had been obtained from the Government of Nepal regarding the vaccine, but it may be that this information did not reach all the authorities.
