The claim of origin of Coronavirus from Wuhan Lab of China (China) is once again under discussion. Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was involved in its civilian research as well as military activities. His statement came at a time when the claim of origin of corona virus from Wuhan Lab is being investigated afresh.
Fox News was quoted as saying by Pompeo that what I can say with certainty is that we know that there were works related to the People’s Liberation Army inside that lab. He claimed that military activities were being carried out in the name of civilian research in the lab. He further said that China had refused to give any kind of information. When the World Health Organization team tried to go there, China refused to allow it as well.

Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt spoke to Professor Nikolai Petrovsky, director of endocrinology, at Flinders Medical Center on May 26, according to a New York Times Post report, who said that the world’s scientific community was ‘betrayed by China’.
Andrew Bolt said in his show The Bolt Report, ‘After all, many experts are now saying that the virus may have originated from that Chinese lab and now the pressure on China is increasing.’ As reported by the New York Times Post, Professor Petrovsky told them that although some Chinese scientists have suggested that COVID-19 originated from the pangolin, it is unlikely to happen.
China continues to monitor WHO team
The WHO team investigating the origins of COVID-19 in China found no evidence that the virus leaked from the Wuhan lab. However, the team was closely monitored by Chinese authorities during its investigation, according to a New York Times report, and one of the team members told the UK news agency that China also refused to hand over key data of the outbreak.
