Brussels. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday called for “unlimited military aid” while addressing an emergency meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). US President Joe Biden and leaders of other countries are scheduled to hold emergency meetings with NATO members regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Zelensky holds first meeting with NATO.
Addressing the meeting via video, Zelensky said, “It is as if we are caught between the West and Russia and defending our shared values. What is most frightening during a war is when we don’t get clear answers when we ask for help. ,
A Biden administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Zelensky did not repeat the demand for Ukraine to declare a no-fly zone, which NATO has already rejected. Western officials say any such move could lead to a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia.
According to Biden, this could spark the Third World War. Earlier, Zelensky urged people from all over the world to publicly gather and express solidarity with their troubled country. Zelensky delivered an emotional message in a video recorded Thursday night near the presidential office in Kyiv.
