UK sanctions have been positioned on senior Iranian safety and political figures – and the so-called morality police – following the demise of Mahsa Amini in custody.
The 22-year-old died whereas in custody final month after being detained for alleged violations of the nation’s strict gown code.
In response, the UK has sanctioned the nation’s morality police in its entirety, in addition to each its chief Mohammed Rostami Cheshmeh Gachi and the top of the Tehran division Haj Ahmed Mirzaei.
