Britain’s Health Minister has admitted to violating the Corona Guidelines, after which PM Boris Johnson is under increasing pressure to sack him.
Video of UK health minister kissing colleague goes viral
Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson is under increasing pressure to sack his health minister after Matt Hancock admitted to violating Corona guidelines while kissing an employee. There was an uproar in Britain after the Health Minister ignored the Corona rules, after which Matt Hancock apologized. However, he refused to resign.
Matt Hancock has been at the center of the British government’s fight against the pandemic. From the very beginning, he has been asking people to follow strict corona rules. Not only this, he had welcomed the resignation of a senior scientist last year for breaking the Corona restrictions. Hancock apologized on Friday after the Sun newspaper’s revelations.
Newspapers printed the picture on the front page
In the picture printed on the front page of the newspaper, he is seen hugging and kissing a top colleague. This picture is from last month when in Britain it was against the rules for people to come close to each other outside the house. Hancock said that I accept that I have violated the social distancing guidelines in these circumstances.
He said that I have disappointed people and I am very sorry. On Friday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he had considered closing the case. Major British newspapers have carried this news on their front page and say that Hancock has lost “moral authority” and should be removed.
Transport Minister defended
The opposition Labor Party questioned whether he had violated the ministerial code by hiring a woman who had been a friend for years. The Sun wrote in its leader column that Hancock can no longer tell us how to behave. However, the UK Transport Minister has defended Hancock. He called it a ‘private matter’.
