Grant Shapps has advised union bosses to “get out of the way” and permit members to vote on newly proposed pay offers.
It comes as recent strikes happen on London Underground and the capital’s bus system, whereas nationwide rail is about for extra disruption on Saturday.
The nationwide strikes are associated to pay rises and proposed modernisation adjustments.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Shapps, the transport secretary, claimed union leaders weren’t placing proposed pay gives to their members.

Asked why the strikes haven’t been resolved, Mr Shapps mentioned: “Because the union bosses won’t put the settlement deals to their members.

Mr Lynch also said he believed industrial unrest would spread with “generalised and synchronised motion” in the face of the deepening cost of living crisis after inflation soared to a new 40-year high of 10.1%.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan told Sky News he is concerned the government is “nearly intentionally frightening” the motion within the capital.
Mr Khan mentioned the situations have been connected to a funding deal for Transport for London – however the RMT union says TfL failed to provide their members assurances they might not be negatively affected.
