Because of this, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has threatened that those who do not get the COVID-19 vaccine will be imprisoned at home.
The Delta variant is spreading rapidly in the Philippines. In such a situation, President Rodrigo Duterte warned that citizens refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be allowed to leave the house in order to protect them from the more contagious ‘Delta’ variant of COVID-19.
ready to face trial
Philippine President Duterte said on Wednesday night that there is no law to make the ban mandatory, but he is ready to face prosecution for keeping people who spread the infection in the country within the framework of the system. Rules will be applicable in metro cities
According to President Rodrigo Duterte’s spokesman Harry Roque, the instructions for those who have not been vaccinated to stay at home will be followed, especially in those metro cities where the vaccine is currently available in sufficient quantity. The spokesman also said that the government has not yet asked the police to comply with the President’s wish. There is such a plan now, but it has not been implemented yet. He told that the President is talking about the time in the future, when there will be no shortage of vaccine in the country. If even then people do not get vaccinated, then strict action will be taken against them.
