The Torkham border is on the border of Afghanistan in Peshawar. This area is quite dangerous because Jalalabad and Naghar provinces are adjacent to it. Also it comes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
These days a trade agreement in Pakistan has become a headache for Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is the agreement, Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) 2010 and it is being considered to extend it for three months. Now the screw here is that wheat going from India to Afghanistan and coming from India to Afghanistan cross a border and reach Kabul via road.
The border we are going to tell you today is the most dangerous border. If this path opens up, then the export of wheat to Afghanistan for India can be very easy. Today, we tell you about the same path that if Pakistan uses it properly then it will not take long to become rich.
Torkham border between Pak-Afghan
This path is the Torkham border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. On this, there was a lot of ruckus in the year 2019 when the US had warned countries about trade with Iran.
Everyone’s eyes have gone to Pakistan on this road because of the furore. Talking to the Pak media, officials have said that a minister of Imran’s cabinet has raised questions on Afghanistan.
Abdul Razzaq Daud, who advised Imran Khan in commercial matters, says that this agreement only speaks of Afghanistan’s rights.
According to him, why is Pakistan giving Afghanistan the way to the Wagah border to send wheat to India, while it is not allowing Pakistan to reach other countries of Central Asia.
Very dangerous area
The Torkham border is on the border of Afghanistan in Peshawar. This area is quite dangerous because Jalalabad and Naghar provinces are adjacent to it. Also it comes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
All these areas are already troubled by the terrorist attacks that take place on the day. In such a situation, if Pakistan opens this way, then the issue of security will be very important.
In the year 2019, after the threat given by the US to Iran, there was a possibility that Pak would agree to open this border.
At that time, it was said on behalf of the American Ambassador to Afghanistan, John Bass, that Pakistan is considering that it should be allowed to use its land for trade between India and Kabul.

Wheat reached Afghanistan after 4000 km
Pakistan denied this. Pakistan is not ready to allow India to use its land for trade with Afghanistan. In October 2017, the first consignment of wheat from India reached Kabul. This wheat first reached Kandla Port in Gujarat.
From here reached Chabahar in Iran and then reached Kabul. The distance from Kandla to Chabahar is about 1,000 km. The distance from Chabahar to Kabul is 1,839 km. The wheat was transported from Jalandhar in Punjab to Kandla in Gujarat and the distance between these two places is more than 1,389 km by road.
After traveling 4,000 km, wheat could reach Kabul after eight to 10 days. It is not cheap for India to send wheat and other goods to Afghanistan via Iran.
If Pakistan opens this path, then it can be taken only a few hours away from Punjab and loaded on wheat trucks and transported to Afghanistan via Wagah border in Amritsar and then to Tarkham border.
By the way, from Afghanistan, Pakistan is banned in his country and trucks coming from his side are banned. Goods loaded on Pakistani trucks at border check posts are shipped to Afghanistan only after loading them on Afghan trucks.
The Chabahar port brings India, Afghanistan and Iran closer. Opening this route can prove beneficial for Pakistan more than India.
How will Pakistan benefit
India, whose economy is six to seven times larger than that of Pakistan, will not be so bothered by the expensive wheat being shipped to Kabul. But if Islamabad gives approval for India to open the way, then it can be of great benefit. Probably the biggest benefit will be from America.
The US can release the amount of aid it has withheld for Pakistan. This amount will prove to be a lifelong boot for Pakistan battling the cash crunch.
Apart from this, he can also help in the fight against terrorism. With this step Pakistan can change its image and will have a positive effect on the international community as well.
