During this, India is going to take a tough stand on the issue of maritime security, global peace and terrorism. At the same time, ever since Pakistan came to know about India taking over the presidency of the UNSC, the neighboring country’s stomach has started hurting since then. Pakistan on Saturday expressed hope that India will preside over the UNSC following international rules and regulations. The Pakistani Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson made this statement in response to a question related to India taking over the Presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of August. “We hope that India will comply with the relevant rules and regulations during the presidency of the Security Council,” the Foreign Office said. India’s presidency in August will be its first time as a non-permanent member of the Security Council during the 2021-22 term.
