Abuja (Nigeria): An extremist group accused of killing hundreds of people in northeastern Nigeria and affiliated with the Islamic State has released a video purportedly showing two men as child fighters. who have been identified as Nigerian soldiers.
The video released by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) was broadcast on Tuesday by the SITE intelligence group that monitors jihadist activities. In the video, a man in a Nigerian army uniform pretending to be a member of the army’s special forces is seen immediately after, a 12-year-old boy is seen shooting twice in the head. At the same time, another soldier captured by the extremist group in April 2021 is seen behind which three masked men and one of them is seen shooting him in the head.
