Delta Variant: Due to the delta variant of the corona virus, cases of infection are increasing rapidly around the world at this time. This variant is so lethal that it can cause severe symptoms in the patient and now a new report has claimed that the variant can spread like chickenpox.
Delta Variant Chickenpox Spreads Like Chickenpox
Delta Variant Chickenpox: The delta variant of the corona virus can cause more severe illness than all other known forms of the virus and can spread as easily as chickenpox coronavirus. This has been said in media reports citing an internal document of the US Health Authority. The report also cited documents from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
It said that based on unpublished data in the document, it has been shown that people who have taken all doses of the vaccine can spread the delta variant as much as people without vaccination (Delta Variant Chickenpox Report). Delta variants were first identified in India. At the same time, ‘The Washington Post’ has first published a report based on this document. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle P. Valensky admitted on Tuesday that people who have received the vaccine have the same presence of the virus in their nose and throat as those who have not received the vaccine.
Delta variant spreads very fast
The internal document has pointed to some more severe symptoms of this variant of the virus. According to the document, the delta variant is more prevalent than the viruses that cause MERS, SARS, Ebola, the common cold, seasonal flu, and varicella and is as contagious as chickenpox (Coronavirus Delta Variant Symptoms). A copy of the document has also been obtained by ‘New York Times’. According to the document, B.1.617.2 ie delta variant can cause more serious disease.
Scientists worried about Delta variant
The ‘New York Times’, citing a federal official, said that the findings of the document raised the concerns of CDC scientists about the Delta variant (US Coronavirus Delta Variant). “CDC is very concerned about the data on the delta pattern,” the official said. This variant can cause serious danger, for which action is required now.
Till now 16.2 crore people got the vaccine
According to data collected by the CDC as of July 24, 162 million people in the US have been vaccinated and there are about 35,000 symptomatic cases every week (Coronavirus Delta Variant and Vaccine Efficacy). But the agency does not monitor mild or asymptomatic cases, so the actual cases may be higher.
