The European Union (EU) has prepared an EU Digital Covid Certificate Framework, through which from today 1 July, the countries involved in the European Union will be able to move freely. According to the news of the Indian Express, India has asked EU member-states to accept corona vaccines such as CovShield and Covaccine authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) or national authorities. If this happens, then Indians who have been dosed with Coveshield or Covaccine will not face any problem in traveling to Europe.
In the event of Indian vaccine not being approved for the ‘Vaccination Passport’, India has asked to bring a new policy, which may cause problems for the European Union because then people coming to India from there will have to follow the quarantine rules.
Corona also spoiled the financial health of ministries, directed to reduce expenditure by 5% this quarter
EU people may become a rule of mandatory quarantine
According to the news of the Indian Express, the European Union has also been asked to approve the Indian vaccine in its Digital COVID Certificate Framework. If this is not the case, India has said that it will bring a new policy. Under this, until the European Union recognizes the CoveShield and Covaccine certificates, the people of the European Union countries will have to compulsorily follow the quarantine rules when they come to India. Currently, the European Union’s Digital Covid Certificate Framework includes vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), meaning that only those who have had these vaccines will be exempted from travel restrictions within the European Union. However, individual member-states can also accept vaccines that have been authorized nationally or by the WHO.
Only four vaccines approved in the EU
Under the new green pass scheme, people with Coveshield will not be allowed to move in the countries of the European Union. EU countries only accept Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson. The CoveShield, the Indian variant of the AstraZeneca, is yet to get clearance. Strict action can be taken against EU countries that import and administer CoveShield without the approval of the EMA. Apart from this, if we talk about the Indian vaccine vaccine, then it is yet to get Emergency Use Authority (EUA) from WHO.
