Spice 250 Missile
Spice 250 Missile: Israel wants India to also use Spice 250 missile. It was unveiled this year at the Aero India Show held at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru. This Milice system has been made by Israel’s famous arms manufacturer Rafael Advance Defense Systems. According to the information, this is the latest version of the Spice 2000 bomb, which was used in the Balakot airstrike. Two years ago, Rafale equipped the Spice 250 missile with Artificial Intelligence (AI) with automatic target recognition ATR technology.
Now the company wants to offer Spice 250 ER variant to the Indian Air Force. According to the company, the missile has many advantages. It attacks against precise and stable targets (Spice 2000 Bombs Israel). It is considered to be the deadliest weapon of this category. It can also be used in environments where GPS is not available. It has been claimed in many reports that Israel used it in the recent attacks on the Gaza Strip. The missile can be fired with accuracy even on densely populated targets.
Can be used even in bad weather
Spice 250 can be used day or night and also in bad weather. A 125 kg warhead from an air-to-air missile can destroy the target both on land and at sea (Spice-250 Advantages). The company says that this system is based on electro-optical. This includes Automatic Target Acquisition (ATA), Moving Target Detection (MTD), Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) and Maritime Attack Mode. At present, the Israeli Air Force is using this missile and operates it from single and two-seat fighter aircraft.
Spice family includes many variants
The Spice missile family includes several variants. Like Spice 1000 and Spice 2000. Spice 250 can also be used with light aircraft, which gives expected results (Spice-2000 Bombs). Earlier, Indian officials had told that when the airstrike was done in Balakot, Pakistan, the Spice 2000 ‘smart bomb’ made in Israel was used. Due to which the hideouts of the terrorist organization Jaish Ek Mohammad became the target on 26 February. These bombs can easily destroy the target while targeting them.
