Phillip Schofield admitted on Friday to having an affair with a youthful man who labored on This Morning.
In response to Schofield’s assertion to the Daily Mail, his brokers at YMU Group stated that they had dropped the presenter.
Schofield stated: “I am making this statement via the Daily Mail to whom I have already apologised personally for misleading, through my lawyer who I also misled, about a story which they wanted to write about me a few days ago.

“The very first thing I need to say is: I’m deeply sorry for having lied to them, and to many others a few relationship that I had with somebody engaged on This Morning.
“I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
“Contrary to hypothesis, while I met the person when he was a teen and was requested to assist him to get into tv, it was solely after he began to work on the present that it turned greater than only a friendship. That relationship was unwise, however not unlawful. It is now over.
“When I chose to come out I did so entirely for my own wellbeing. Nobody ‘forced’ me out. Neither I nor anyone else, to my knowledge, has ever issued an injunction, super or otherwise, about my relationship with this colleague, he was never moved on or sacked by or because of me.
“In an effort to guard my ex-colleague I have never been truthful concerning the relationship. But my latest, unrelated, departure from This Morning fuelled hypothesis and raised questions which have been impacting him, so for his sake it will be significant for me to be trustworthy now.

“I am painfully conscious that I have lied to my employers at ITV, to my colleagues and friends, to my agents, to the media and therefore the public and most importantly of all to my family. I am so very, very sorry, as I am for having been unfaithful to my wife.
“I’ve due to this fact determined to step down from the British Soap Awards, my final public dedication, and am resigning from ITV with instant impact expressing my immense gratitude to them for all of the wonderful alternatives that they’ve given me. I’ll mirror on my very dangerous judgement in each collaborating within the relationship after which mendacity about it.
“To protect his privacy, I am not naming this individual and my deepest wish is that both he and his family can now move on with their lives free from further intrusion, and that this statement will enable them to do so. I ask the media now to respect their privacy. They have done nothing wrong, and I ask that their privacy should be respected.”
Meanwhile, Schofield’s agent launched the next assertion: “Honesty and integrity are core values for YMU’s whole business, defining everything we do,” Mary Bekhait, the group CEO of YMU Group, stated.
“Talent management is a relationship based entirely on trust.
“This week, we’ve realized vital new details about our shopper Phillip Schofield. These details contradicted what Phillip had beforehand advised YMU, in addition to the exterior advisors we had introduced in to help him.
“As a result, on Thursday we agreed to part company with Phillip, with immediate effect.”
