Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud says that his country can play an important role in reducing tensions between India (India) and Pakistan (Pakistan). Answering a question during an interview with Pakistan Television, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has dealt in great detail with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia.
Talking about the often poor relations between Pakistan and India, Prince Faisal praised the two nuclear-armed neighbors for restoring a ceasefire on the LoC in the disputed Kashmir region. He described the move as an “excellent” step taken in the right direction.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry issued a joint statement on Saturday night following a high-level dialogue between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which was agreed upon between the two countries. According to the joint statement, “Both sides have emphasized the importance of dialogue between the two countries to resolve the pending issues between India and Pakistan, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, so as to ensure peace and stability in the region.” The statement said that Yuvraj “has welcomed the recent understanding between the military officials of the two countries regarding the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) based on a 2003 agreement between India and Pakistan”.
