The Russian Army on Monday launched the new Zircon hypersonic cruise missile (Zircon hypersonic cruise missile) Successfully tested. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the test was carried out from the Admiral Gorshkov warship located in the White Sea, north of Russia. The army said that the missile accurately hit the target 350 km off the coast of the Barents Sea.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Zircon missile will fly nine times the speed of sound and has a range of up to 1,000 km. Earlier in October, this missile was tested on Putin’s birthday. The Russian leader called it a “critical moment” for the country. Putin said at the time, “Equipping our military forces—the army and navy with the latest, advanced weapon systems—will ensure our country’s defense capability in the long run.”
Russia will present a new fighter plane at the air show
Russian aircraft makers say they will present a new fighter plane at the air show to be held in Moscow next week. The new warplane, covered with tarpaulin, was seen taking off in a parking lot in Zukovsky, near Moscow. An air show named MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon will open in Moscow on Tuesday. Russian President Vladimir Putin will be present at the opening of the air show.
According to Russian media, the new fighter aircraft has been built as part of the plan to build light combat aircraft. This fighter aircraft has been manufactured by the company that manufactures Sukhoi (Russia Fighter Jet News). Unlike Russia’s latest fighter, the Su-57, the new fighter will have only one engine and will be smaller. The name of the new fighter aircraft, its capability and other information related to it is not available.
