Ukraine’s presidential office said Russian military blew up a gas pipeline in Kharkiv, the country’s second largest city. Apart from this, smoke was also seen coming out of an oil depot near Jhuliani airport, about 25 miles south of the capital. This city with a population of about 1.5 million people is 40 kilometers from the Russian border.

Advice given to apply wet cloth to windows
The State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection says the explosion could result in an “environmental disaster”. He advised the people living there to cover their windows with wet clothes and drink plenty of fluids. The government has implemented a 39-hour curfew, so that people do not come out on the streets. More than 150,000 people have moved from Ukraine to Poland, Moldova and other countries, and the United Nations has warned that the number could exceed 4 million if the war continues.
Ukraine is getting help from other countries
The US has pledged to provide $350 million in additional military aid to Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons and small arms. Germany said it would send missiles and anti-tank weapons to Ukraine and close its airspace to Russian aircraft. Ukraine’s health ministry said on Saturday that 198 people, including three children, had died and more than 1,000 were injured in the war.
