A dad who beforehand crawled the London Marathon whereas dressed as a gorilla is to stroll your entire race backwards in assist of Ukrainians affected by the continued struggle with Russia.
Tom Harrison stated he set himself the purpose as a way of “looking over my shoulder for Ukraine”.
The 46-year-old is not any stranger to taking over distinctive and strange feats, having walked 263 miles in 15 days from Lands End in Cornwall to Parliament Square in London in September 2022.
This was 5 years after he crawled the marathon dressed as his alter-ego, “Mr Gorilla”.
The undertaking supervisor hopes the “quirky” and “eye-catching” concept will assist to publicise his trigger – with funds being donated to the Red Cross.
“Most Ukrainians will know someone who has been killed during the war and it’s really horrible what they are going through, so they still need to be supported and not forgotten about,” he stated.
His £2,000 goal – which is required by these fundraising for the Red Cross to safe their place within the marathon – has already been surpassed. Mr Harrison raised a lot of the money via cake gross sales and hopes donations carry on coming in.

“But it will be funny and at least they are interested, but I’ll probably have to put something on my back which explains what I am doing.”
