In the last few days, new cases of corona virus (COVID-19) and death data are coming out at record level. On which the foreign media has expressed concern.
Foreign Media on India’s Covid Situation: In the midst of the deepening crisis of Coronavirus in India, many countries have extended a helping hand. According to the latest data released on Sunday morning, 3,49,691 new cases have been reported in the country within 24 hours and 2,767 patients have also died due to COVID-19 during this period (India Covid Death Toll). The Ministry of Health says that the total cases of infection in the country have now become 1,69,60,172 (1 crore 69 lakh 60 thousand 172). While the total number of dead has reached 1,92,311. The second wave of infection in India has broken into havoc.
Due to ‘double mutant’ and ‘triple mutant’ variants of COVID here, new cases are seeing a rise at record level. Due to which there has been a shortage in the country from hospital bed to oxygen. Many hospitals in the capital Delhi are also refusing to admit new patients by issuing SOS (Foreign Media on India). While many people have died due to lack of oxygen in many hospitals. Currently, there are 26,82,751 active cases (India Coronavirus Active Cases). There is a lot of discussion on the situation of India in the foreign media too.
‘Death at record level’
The British newspaper The Guardian wrote in the headline, “The death toll from COVID in India is at a record level, but the real number may be worse.” It reads, ‘The daily COVID case and death figures have come to record levels on Saturday in India but doctors and bereaved families have warned that official figures are severely reducing the scale of the tragedy in the country (India Coronavirus Update). Because the Delhi court has said that India is facing not only the second wave but also the tsunami. Hospitals are sending patients back because there are no beds and oxygen. In many parts of India, people are still either not testing, or they do not have access to it here.
Pakistan offers help
The US news agency Associate Press wrote in the headline, “Pakistan offered India additional supplies to help”. It reads, ‘India’s rival Pakistan has offered to provide additional medical supplies to its neighbor, which is currently in the grip of the devastating Corona crisis, which has led to shortage of oxygen stocks and shortage of hospitals here. (Pakistan Offers Help to India). Showing solidarity with India, Pakistan has offered ventilators, oxygen supply kits, digital X-ray machines, PPE kits and related accessories as a relief.
America will provide necessary help
Qatar’s famous media website Al Jazeera wrote in the headline, ‘India is struggling with COVID’s devastation, so the US will help him.’ It has written, ‘America has promised that it will provide more assistance to India as this country is facing the deadly Covid-19 Pandemic, here it has registered the highest level of cases in the world continuously for the last four days. Are happening America has seen the highest number of deaths from any country in the world, it has said that it is concerned about the increasing cases in India.
Asked to delete tweet
Pakistani newspaper Dawn wrote in the headline, “India has asked Twitter to delete some tweets as they are having trouble dealing with COVID-19”. It reads, ‘The Indian government has asked the social media platform Twitter to delete dozens of tweets, including tweets from local leaders as it is becoming troublesome to control the outbreak of Coronavirus Twitter in the country. Huh. Most cases are coming here in the world. Due to a request made by the Government of India, some tweets have been removed.
