The Prime Minister of Singapore was seen wearing a turban at the inauguration ceremony of a renovated Gurudwara on Monday, after which his photo became fiercely viral on social media. PM Lee Hsien Loong welcomed the guests with ‘Sat Sri Akal’ at the opening ceremony of the Silat Road Sikh Temple. The Gurudwara has been rebuilt during the Corona epidemic.
Addressing the event, Sean Loong, dressed in a white kurta, thanked the Sikh community for their efforts to mitigate the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sean Loong said that local Sikhs, regardless of caste, religion or background, provided help to people through various aid programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greeting the public with ‘Sat Shri Akal’
Parminder Singh, Chief Commercial and Digital Officer, Mediacorp Pvt Ltd, shared a video of Sean Loong wearing a turban on Twitter. Tweeting the video, he wrote, ‘Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, wearing a turban, inaugurated a newly renovated Gurudwara and greeted everyone with a Sat Sri Akal.
Commenting on the pictures posted by the official handle of the Prime Minister, a user wrote, ‘You look like Dr Manmohan Singh wearing a turban.’ Let us tell you that Dr Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014. 500 years ago Singapore was considered a part of Greater India. A large number of people of Indian community live here. Tamil language has the status of official language in this country and here also the number of people speaking Hindi language is also very high. Singapore is also a major tourist destination for Indian tourists.
Appeal to stop vaccination of children
Like other countries, the initial peak of COVID was seen in Singapore last year. Vaccination campaign is also being run in full swing here.
