One such action took place in Argentina on this day, when unarmed people protesting through 30 fighter planes were bombed. Actually, a large crowd was gathering near the parliament in support of President Juan Peron. The reason behind this was the effort being made to topple Peron’s government. At the same time, 364 people were killed and more than 800 were injured in an airstrike by the coup-attempted army. However, the army could not succeed in the coup.

After this Juan Perón hid in a bunker. But the crowd gathered in support of the President was unknown. There was no warning given before the attack. The coup-going army dropped the first bomb on a public transport. Children were riding in this trolleybus. All the children were killed in the attack. In this way now naval air strikes started.
Firing between rebels and supporters in President’s office
On the other hand, a group of rebel soldiers were entering the presidential office, Casa Rosada, to carry out a coup by capturing the president. But during this time soldiers supporting the President also entered the office and here the firing started between the two sides. However, President Peron was already hiding in a secret bunker. During this, all federal employees were called upon to save the constitutional government. At the same time, people were advised not to gather near Plaza de Mayo. But people had received information about the coup and they started gathering.
Disaster caused by rain falling on people
As soon as a crowd of people had gathered near Plaza de Mayo. They started demonstrations to save the President’s government from being toppled. But then the sky shook with the rumble of fighter planes and then bombs were dropped one after the other. Due to this the area around the plaza turned into dust. When the bomb fell, people started running here and there. Argentina was caught in a state of turmoil due to bombardment from the sky and relentless action by rebels on the ground. There was shouting all around due to the continuous bombing.
13.8 Tons of Explosives Dropped on People
This aerial action stopped at five o’clock in the evening. It is said that from 9.5 tons to 13.8 tons of explosives were dropped on the people. 364 people died in this attack, in which the number of women and children was also high. At the same time, more than 800 people were injured. On the other hand, the army engaged in the coup attempt did not succeed. Martial law was imposed on the generals on whose instructions this action was carried out.
