Data from Public Health England (PHE) shows that the corona vaccine being given in the UK is very effective against all variants.
People who have taken both doses of corona vaccine are 3 times less likely to get infected
A UK study has claimed that people who have taken both doses of the corona vaccine are 3 times less likely to get corona. The Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission (REACT-1) study, one of the UK’s largest studies on Corona, reported on Wednesday that infections in England had increased four-fold from 0.15 per cent to 0.63 per cent. However, there has been a decrease in cases since July 12.
An analysis by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI over 98,000 volunteers who took part in the study in England between June 24 and July 12 suggested that people who had received both doses of the vaccine were also less likely to transmit the infection to the other.
UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid said: “Our vaccination rollout is building a wall of defence, which means we can carefully ease restrictions and go back to our favorite things, but we need to be cautious. Need to live because we are learning to live with this virus.”
Effective vaccine against all variants of corona
Data from Public Health England (PHE) shows that the corona vaccine being given in the UK is “very effective” against all variants.
According to this, the Pfizer vaccine is 96 percent effective and the AstraZeneca vaccine is 92 percent effective after both doses. PHE estimates that vaccination in England has prevented 22 million infections, approximately 52,600 hospitalizations and 35,200 to 60,000 deaths.
The result also shows that people who have taken both doses of the corona vaccine are three times less likely to get corona. The UK Health Service has started a vaccination program for all people aged 16 and over, following scientific advice.
